Call for Papers: Special Issue on "Climate Change and Agriculture”
We are pleased to announce a call for submissions for a forthcoming Special Issue of Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANRES), focusing on “Climate Change and Agriculture.”
Climate change is increasingly impacting agricultural systems worldwide, intensifying both biotic stresses (such as pests, diseases, and invasive species) and abiotic stresses (including drought, salinity, extreme temperatures, and soil degradation). These challenges threaten food security, crop productivity, and sustainable farming practices, necessitating innovative scientific and technological solutions.
This Special Issue aims to bring together original research, reviews, and case studies that address the multifaceted impacts of climate change on agricultural stressors and explore adaptive and mitigative strategies. We welcome interdisciplinary contributions from fields such as plant physiology, agronomy, soil science, climate science, molecular biology, environmental science, and agricultural engineering.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Mechanisms of plant response to combined abiotic and biotic stresses
- Climate-induced shifts in pest and pathogen dynamics
- Genetic and genomic approaches to stress tolerance
- Soil and water management under climate extremes
- Climate-resilient crop breeding and biotechnology
- Modelling and forecasting climate stress impacts
- Sustainable adaptation strategies in agriculture
Submission Deadline: March 1st, 2026
Expected Publication Date: Manuscripts will be published continuously, with the theme expected to conclude in the mid-year 2026 issue.
